The Editors

2015

SLCGroup Inc. was established in 2015 to streamline and enhance a legacy of operational excellence spanning over two decades. Our foundation was simple: the country’s best institutional readers deserved a partner who showed up every single cycle, without fail.

A Magazine Company (Legacy & Consolidation). The bedrock of our business was laid by Susan L. Cidro, who built three separate, highly successful enterprises specializing in the distribution, warehousing, and sales of the world’s most prestigious international publications.

Upon her retirement, these operations were consolidated into a single, unified entity under the leadership of Michelle C. Casio, who took the helm as President and CEO.

We started by moving magazines. Today, we run the business across four pillars—but our core operating principle remains exactly the one we mastered on the route from 2015.
— Michelle C. Casio, President & CEO
2015 – 2020

Premium Print & Subscription Logistics. This consolidation carried deep corporate partnerships seamlessly into a new era. For years, our core operation focused on driving subscription sales and managing the nationwide delivery of global print titles shaping worldwide conversations: TIME, FORTUNE, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and The Economist Premium.

2024

Pivot to ESG & Sustainability. When global media shifted hard to digital, we faced a choice: shrink with print, or evolve. We chose to innovate.

It happened organically. Handling distribution built deep publisher relationships. Those relationships grew into editorial work, opening a brand-new door: ESG storytelling for the very institutions reading our titles. We noticed that the corporate leaders and sustainability practitioners reading our magazines needed a place to connect, collaborate, and build solutions. So, we built that for them, too.

Under Michelle’s leadership, we transformed our capabilities without losing our roots:

  • Digital Workflows: The same team that mastered complex global subscription logistics now manages advanced content and digital workflows.
  • Green Solutions: We extended our operations into research and programmatic sustainability work—now proudly backed by major institutions like the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
  • Local Impact: The exact same operational precision that once served global publishers now empowers Filipino SMEs, local institutions, and grant-funded green initiatives.
2026

The next chapter. Looking forward, this journey expands into a dedicated academy beginning quietly in 2026.

We didn’t just adapt to the changing times—we listened to the market, expanded our horizons, and continued to deliver what matters.

The shape has changed. The standard has not.

Our promise

“When a global publisher entrusted us with a brand like Time or The Wall Street Journal, they were not testing a vendor — they were securing a partner with a proven track record. We bring the same standard to every contract, every package, every campaign, every grant.”

Same precision.
Same accountability.
Same love.
Different shape.
